Everyone has a Story, this is mine.

I became a hairstylist as a back-up plan. Seventeen years later I'm still a hairstylist because it's my passion.

Growing up in different suburbs on Cleveland's west side I had always hoped I would find my place in the world, professionally. My junior year I moved to sweet, small town, LaGrange, Ohio! I took cosmetology through a vocational program in high school. I originally thought that would be better than waiting tables through college so why not? I knew instantly that I really enjoyed doing hair. I would graduate and work in different chain salons and take college courses to work towards being a nurse. At the age of 20 I welcomed my first daughter and thought I had better find a "real job". After becoming bored and struggling through college courses I realized that my passion all along was being behind the chair. That is where I am able to connect with people, build friendships and recreate the beauty that is already inside of them. I've been there since, my real job.

With my now family of 4, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two girls. We are always on the move doing everything from fishing and hunting to cheerleading and softball! I love to exercise but hate eating healthy lol, catching up on my shows in a quiet house with a glass of wine is my fav and I'm recently a new pittie mom! So you can see, the lifestyle of working in a chain was not keeping up with my family and the memories we are trying to make! I was feeling tired and burnt out and began to no longer enjoy being a hairstylist. I decided it was time to move forward and make the switch to a full service salon where my creativity could grow. My clientele expanded and I fell in love with doing hair all over again. I began attending educational beauty events annually, private classes with color educators, online professional connections and really wherever I could find something to learn. Confession: I'm a HUGE General Hospital fan! For my 30th birthday my husband surprised me with meet and greet tickets with the cast and my favorite character, Carly!

In 2016 I took an even bigger leap of faith and became an Independent Stylist and moved my business back to my hometown. I've made connections within my community and with my guests to serve and support them and I'm so grateful to have been able to do that. In the summer of 2018 I joined forces with my mother in law and soon to be sister in law and together we made a dream come true, we opened The Barn a Salon and Spa.

I think my guests like that they can come to me with any kind of question or concern and if I 'm unsure, I will educate myself and come up with a plan! Having the willingness to learn and grow with the wonderful experienced stylists around me and in the direction God leads me have been big game changers in my life and my career. My love and my specialty is hand painted balayage, more specifically, brunettes. I love the softness and dimension you see in every flip of the hair. It's always seamless and gorgeous and it's what really makes my heart flutter! I hope to meet you and create that beautiful hair flip that makes you feel like your sexy self and show you the beauty that already exists inside of you!

If you're new to the area or perhaps looking for something new, I invite you to click below to send me an email telling me about your hair and we can get to know each other when we schedule a complimentary cosultation. Can't wait to meet you!
